Necromancer Esoteric Painting and Prints
This surreal painting arose from a hidden place, the subconscious, where we can't see with the clarity of daylight. The circle is very important in magic, so it became the organizing principle here. The central full Moon disk features the necromancer and the spirit raised by the necromancer's incantations. The moon/circle can be a wall of protection but also a barrier. The necromancer's vision is limited to what stands before them. Outside of the circle and beyond the necromancer's perception are other spirits and shades of the dead. Some might be protective, others hostile, and still others pretty much unknowable. They could be the spirits of ancestors, demons or angels, or other entities that we neither know nor comprehend.
The original acrylic painting is 18 x 24"/46 x 61cm on wood panel with a 1.5" profile, ready to hang. The giclee prints are on 100% cotton archival fine art paper, colors are matched to the original by the artist, and they are signed on the back.
