Hermes Crossroads Print
I painted this after going out at night to a desolate country crossroads to leave an offering. Where I lived, every country intersection featured one light, which was normally an old sodium light, which gave everything an orange cast. That intersection was surrounded by hills. I painted these features abstractly and used Hermes' colors, orange and violet. The X type of crossroads is usually associated with Hermes, while the Y type of crossroads is usually thought to be Hekate's.
This archival print 16 x 20"/41 x 51cm on watercolor paper and is ready to frame.
