The Poison Toad Painting or Print.
I created this image right after the election of the 45th president of the US. That individual made me think of some poisonous toad, orange, of course, and a little bit repellent. But I tried to focus on how this individual's power might be contained (as in an alchemical retort) and transformed into a beautiful creature of the Air, its poisonous qualities morphed into luminescence. This toad can stand in for any negativity in one's life or society. We cannot allow ourselves to despair but instead, work for transformation.
The original painting is acrylic on board, 18 x 24"/45x61cm with a 1.5"/4cm profile and is ready to hang. Prints are available with archival printing on watercolor paper, 18 x 24"/45x61cm, ready to frame.
