Sun Abstract Painting
Ever since I was a child and saw films of the Sun's roiling, seething surface and how it throws out vast ribbons of itself, which rise and sink back, I have been fascinated how something that seems to us like a flat disk can be in actuality so textural and almost torn apart by movement. I tend to think of the Sun as rather bland and just there, but it is a truly tumultuous heavenly body. This different take on the Sun is what I wanted to capture here.
The original oil painting is 18 x 24"/46 x 61cm on cotton canvas with a 3/4"/2cm profile and it ready to frame. Archival prints on heavy watercolor paper are also available.
