Offering Painting and Print

$ 305.00

The moon rises just after sunset in this painting of a harvested cornfield after an early snow. Neighbors consider that the corn left in the field is because the farmer is obeying the Biblical dictum to leave corn in the corners of the field for gleaners, the poor who pick up unharvested grain as subsistence. And that might be part of it. But it's also an offering to the crows, the spirits, and the gods. They're all part of a good healthy farm.

The oil painting is on 11 x 14" panel and is ready to frame. The long-lasting giclee print is 11 x 14" on archival paper and is ready to frame.
