Inviting Barrier Painting or Print
Have you ever been wandering around in the woods, probably on a trail, and you turn and you look and see a patch of woods that stands as a sort of barrier: full of rocks and with low branches sticking out like long barbed wire. And yet, you feel there is something beyond what you can plainly see, and you want to enter into this seemingly hostile woods. It is as if that patch of woods both pushes you away and invites you in...to share secrets. This painting is based on a photo I took at Old Furnace State Park in CT.
The original watercolor painting is 9 x 12"/23 x 30cm on heavy cotton watercolor paper and is ready to frame. Museum-quality giclee print on archival paper is 16 x 20".
