This abstract painting combines motifs from topographic maps, ripples, bubbles, and current lines into an aerial view of an imaginary landscape. I added forms from cells to show the fundamental aliveness of the area. I imagine travelers from far away joyfully landing in this luscious, watery place. I also see it as a place that does not exist in the material world but instead lives in dream and imagination.
The original watercolor painting is 11 x 14"/28 x 30cm on heavy archival watercolor paper and is ready to frame.
