Spirit of Ghoul Painting or Print
Just as I portray gods and spirits in unconventional ways in order to help us see them anew, without baggage, so I portrayed the ghoul, usually shown as a half-rotting human being (the ultimate example of you-are-what-you-eat). I wanted to show perhaps the spirit of the ghoul, which must be pretty different from the spirits of living animals. I let my imagination run loose here and feel I captured something truly weird. I'd like to do an entire series of these critters.
This colored pencil painting is 7 x 9.5"/18x24cm on heavy dark grey archival paper and ready to frame. The giclee print is 8 x 10" on archival paper.
