Elevation of Mars Painting SOLD

$ 525.00

One of my most complex images, I depict the coral snake, a poisonous resident of the very Mars-influenced desert, being transformed into a wild red rose. The rose still has thorns, but the beauty of the coral snake's markings has morphed into the soft petals of the rose. The glassware is a pelican, which is used in alchemy to recirculate and purify. The heat that fires the pelican is portrayed by various cactic, the flowers and fruit of which foretell the blooming of the wild rose and the snake's transformatiion. Sometimes transformation is cause by the equivalent of the Tower Struck By Lightning, which is depicted in the background as lightning striking a mesa. I loved painting this image.  The original 18x24" painting has sold.
