Defense Magic - Surreal Landscape Painting - SOLD
€434,95
This painting depicts a variety ways magic workers can protect themselves. The individual witch/sorcerer casts their shadow on the place and protects their back with spines. Smoke coming from the house's chimney is magically guided into the form of a three-headed snake to scare off stupid jerks. The spirit of something like the very protective Datura, as pictured in the spiny structure and the flowers, is on guard. Crows stand watch outside the home and yell their alarm at the approach of ne'er-do-wells. Their comrades fly above keeping an eye on things. A helper critter dons armor and is ready to fight. The prosaic barred window is always a help against would-be burglars, and the efficacy of the various approaches is evidenced in the bone pile in front of the house.
The original mixed media landscape painting is 16 x 20" on heavy cotton watercolor paper and has been sold.
