Dryad Painting or Print
I enjoy painting trees and decided to try my hand at a dryad, a nymph in ancient Greek mythology who lives in trees. In some stories, she takes the form of a beautiful woman, so my dryad is not only beautiful in her form but exuberant, happy to be a tree. The name "dryad" was originally applied to the spirits of oak trees, so I modeled my dryad's form in this painting after a local oak tree.
The watercolor painting is 11 x 15"/28 x 38cm on heavy cotton watercolor paper and is ready to frame. The archival print is 16 x 20"/41x51cm on watercolor paper and is ready to frame.
