Now living close to the downtown of an industrial New England city, I've become more interested in the classic old buildings in the area. At the same time, for the past several months I've gotten much more interested in painting dark/night landscapes. I combined those two interests here. This image is very loosely based on buildings I can see from my window, but I modified the scene to focus on the effects of dark and light rather than urban details.  

The original gouache painting is 9 x 12"/23 x 30cm on heavy cotton watercolor paper and is ready to frame.
