The Restless House Landscape Watercolor Painting
In this old house, nothing is settled. Ghosts of every kind walk and talk above the quiet rustling of the spirits of wood, glass, floors, air, and plants. Old memories are preserved and new ones made. The light coming through a window makes spirits invisible to the human eye, but they are there in the dark, willing to be seen for those who wish to look.
This painting was completely unplanned and arose from the paint. This is the first time I have been able to use automatism to work an entire painting that was not abstract. I continue to be happily surprised by how productive is the Surrealist method of automatism.
This original watercolor painting is 16 x 20"/41x51cm on archival watercolor painting and is ready to frame. Museum-quality prints on heavy archival paper are ready to frame.
