Bone Tree Oil Landscape Painting
This painting is based on a tree I saw while on a walk in a swamp. Its pale skin and leafless branches struck me, especially against a line of dark leafy trees almost in a row behind it. I feel like this image is dark in all the meanings of that word, so I witched the view from day to night and left the sky absolutely empty, as it might seem in dream or trance or the darkest night of the year. It reminds me something from myth, something secret, with much hidden meaning.
The original oil painting is 16 x 20"/41 x 51cm on cotton canvas with a traditional 75"/2cm profile and is ready to frame or can be hung without a frame.
